Mmmm Mmm, I think the steel wool is just to get the fur off, not necessarily to clean the little blighters.
In Peru they eat guinea pig and they always joke about it with the tourists. They say, make sure your's doesn't have a tail, because the street vendors sell rats to the tourists and tell them it's guinea pig.
What's the difference?
