Here's the reality of it all : roads and bridges are built by contractors within each state (with or without federal funds) and once they are constructed are the sole responsibilty of the individual state they are constructed within to maintain. The federal government doesn't contruct the highways, nor maintain them, they only either contribute to their funding or not, plain and simple !

The above is just another shit slinging fest instigated by some dumb shit lookin to blame the fed for poor maintenance by the state even after a fed inspection revealed risk of potential failure of the structure plenty long enough ago to have avoided the failure of the structure had their findings been utilized.
