But he and his administration have had 7 YEARS to inspect and repair them. I am not suggesting that all such bridges can be rebuilt completely in that time, but temporary repairs for safety could have been done. Repairs that would last several years until the bridges in question could be replaced or rebuilt. Most politicians (Republican AND Democrat) just pass the buck to the next guy elected, and don't give a shit.
