Happy Fourth of July.
I always look forward to Memorial day and Independence day, as I'm lucky enough to be in the flight path of a nearby Air National Guard base.
I can expect an impromptu airshow from anywhere between two to five F-15s on those days, which culminates in a symbolic flyover at the Veteran's cemetery.
I close my eyes and listen as they disappear over the horizon.
