When they Launch those things you can be in San Deigo California, Las Vegas Nevada or Redding California and see it clearly just the same. I remember seeing those things every spring when I was a kid growing up in Orange County CA. The colors would last for hours. Some people say it is like the northern lighs just smaller. I don't know, I have never seen the northern lights, but maybe some day
