Oil companies have always been fucking us so why is it a surprise now? Over the last 40 years I haves seen gas prices continually going up from $.28 a gallon to what it is today and it has done so through many administrations in government. We ourselves are the reason for it because we determine what the market will bear for the prices. When prices are low we keep wasting gas cruising and driving around looking at the sites or the fall foliage and crap then we complain when they raise the prices to see if they can get away with it. You have only yourselves to blame because when you get used to the price you start wasting the gas on your own pleasure. This is why the prices always go up in the summer or at holidays because travel always goes up at those times. Back during the so called gas crises we curtailed our travel to conserve and the prices went down. We all need to show them the market will not bear increased prices by not driving when we don't have to.
