those are very good points you bring up
certain laws need to be put inot place offering a zero tollence for "those who won't do shit because they will get a piece of the pie anyways"
the best way to get innovations to happen too worked really good under capitalism... in the beginning at least it did, but under this system only the richest hope to survive, which of course all the competition is lost due to monopolisation and then all the truley great innovations cease, and all great ideas then become a commodity
if eryone did their part under communism this would never happen
i think that truely almost all americans would be more than willing to do their part, the trains would still run on time(if not actually really on time - i'm willing to bet)
as for medical care you should really look at the people suffering from aids, hiv, and cancer... there are medicines to make their lives much better, and there might actually already have been a cure for cancer... but it is the peasant class that is unable to obtain these medicines under capitalism... the capitalist does not wish to invest in developing the cure for cancer because it is not nearly as profitable treating the disease... hell dude, we don't even have a cure for the common flu yet! why do you think that is!
plenty of innovations are more likely to occur under communism... just take a look at the gnu... hell this shitty little flag i made using the gimp... something i would never have any hope to produce as i cannot afford photoshop, this and other gnu software is produced for nothing... people enjoy making these software and hate the fact that they cannot afford to spend 100% of their time programming - as they still have to do their mediocre jobs to survive... i think that this should be their job! provide this for society and in return should be able to eat and live under a roof... a type of barter system if you will
