Carlos Mencia is awful. Nearly every one of his jokes is a retread of something that Richard Pryor (or some other comedian) has said before.

Mencia is a one-trick pony who has to make every joke about race -- and his fans seem to think he is so original. (My guess is that most of them are very young and have never seen really great stand-up comedians in their prime -- like Richard Pryor, Eddie Murphy, Rodney Dangerfield, Steve Martin, etc.)

And there are many other modern comedians who are much more funny and clever than Mencia -- Dave Chappelle, Chris Rock, Sean Cullen and Jim Gaffigan -- to name a few. Check out some of their stuff on youtube.com. Then, try and tell anyone that Mencia is good by comparison.
