He probably couldn't get his Chia Pet to grow when he was seven and was emotionally scarred by the incident leading to a phobia regarding plants growing in the form of other objects. To this day, oh so many years later, every time he dreams of trying to water that Chia, no water comes out of the spout but he does wet the bed. A good therapist could help with that.
Or he has absolutely no creative clue.
