I still have mine with monitor, floppy drive and it works! I had all the Run magazines and prgrammed in a shitload of goofy little games in machine code and basic. My favorite game is still Impossible Mission. A few years ago I got into using a C 64 emulator for the PC, made an interface for the drive and another for the joystick. Loads of fun!
