They did know before they actually won, it's simple, there last one was 1982, Stan the Man should have been able to throw his last pitch ever to a World Series Team. Busch Stadiums construction was just finished in time to start the season, the old won was torn down (what pride). The people were forced to pay for the new one ( money for war in Iraq or a Stadium, mmmmm ) , the new Busch Stadium owners threatened to leave St.Louis if 'the people" didn't pay for it, even put crap all over the local news stations of them talking to places all around St.Louis (propaganda). And last but not least ( more Bush propaganda ). Bush pitches the "start the season pitch". Those owners in St.Louis are just some more behind the door deal makers, wealthly Nazis strike again. They had to stand in line for awhile, look at the other "Champs lately" it's business, boo hoo we haven't won in this long it's our turn. yada yada yada
