9mm ammunition is cheap and on a constant supply.. heaveir calibers such as .45 or a magnum 44 for example are a bit expensive and hard to find, dealers dont import them cause the demand on them is low.
1 round magnum .44 = 1.20$ !!!
but still 9mm para is very capable.
you wanna do the job use a 9mm ...you wanna act tuff use a .45
