The media is controlled by capitalist pigs. They don't need nationalist zealotry to inform their actions. They simply need to cosy up to whomever is in power at the time.

The US papers did no serious investigative work and totally supported the Republicans desire for war, and thus, we have war that was more or less supported by the populous. Because they were kept in the dark.

And people say the press is "liberal". Such a fucking crock. They are 'capitalist', there is a huge difference. Liberal actually means progressive. Capitalist means greedy.
