The comparison is to provide some perspective.
The tsunami is also recent enough for most people to have seen video and know what happened.
The holocaust is a story in a book. And the other tragedies that are occuring now are not sexy enough to make the US evening news shows.
Too many americans think they are the only people to have a tragedy occur to them. They have been taught to be professional victims.
You are also deluded to think that you can stop military strikes (terrorism) with security measures.
The reason for military strikes (terrorism) must be addressed for the world to be truly safer.
This is where the Bush morons have failed miserably.
The sign above is a scare tactic by a promoter of military strikes (terrorism).
