No, festus is right. The issue is dwelled upon, and the newsmedia (corporate owned) helps out by keeping the emotional excitement high. Why do you think we had all those "terrorist danger color warnings" for so long? Keeps people in a state of heightened fear.
If you read up on psychology, you'll notice that people in fear are easier to control.
The fact is, terrorism is a tiny, tiny danger in the world. The more the media keep talking about them, the more the terrorists are successful in keeping people terrorized. Which means....
