Then let's go back to about 1880 when Britain and the US had not come to the region yet.
No Israel. No British or US installed governments in Iraq or Iran.
There would have been no 9-11, no 1983 marine barracks bombing, and no bombing in a lot of places.
Seems like the US would have been a lot better off not geting insecure by trying to control the governments of these regions the same way they are right now.
Installing phony governments in Iraq and Afghanistan now is already leading to problems. But more will follow.
