Ok, sure, they are fat cats who eat 5-star lobsters, but so do many, many other politicians, and very corrupt ones at that. So what are you actually saying?

The U.N. passes resolutions, AND puts out good money to put peacekeepers on the ground, which do invaluable service in wars. The ability to have a very visible, non-shooting armored force in a warzone is an AMAZING advantage over previous history. They can at least account for facts on the ground.

Also, the UN does far, far more than you probably imagine (based on your comment). They supply refugees with basic food and shelter (more than the Bush Adminifuckupstration does... cf. New Orleans), all sorts of behind-the-scenes diplomacy and whole host of other activities that fly below "news radar".

Just because countries like the US and Israel prefer to ignore Resolutions, is nothing to blame on the U.N.

And no, my dear militia-loving friends, the U.N. is not out to "control the world", despite whatever paranoid rantings you may have read online somewhere. They don't have much of a attack force.
