Fossil you are correct. When they come here they don't have to know the language but they should make an attempt to speak it while they are learning it. We will accept immigrants to this country but they should do it legally and follow the process and become a citizen. In coming to the country they do not need to leave their heritage behind, they can bring it with them and even keep it when they become a citizen and learn english. Beast's argument that learning english means giving up ones heritage is just wrong.

All illegals need to leave the country and come back the legal way. Do any of you really think the illegal Mexicans in this country came here on their own or did Mexico send them?
