I attended a friend's wedding at her parent's house.. some time before I arrived, a glass tumbler had hit the sliding glass door pane and the pane was in the process of cracking... you could hear it as the pressure from the other cracks forced new ones. The process took hours, it was entrancing. Nobody knew what it meant at the time, but the pair now have two beautiful children, so it must not have been a bad omen.
