I think my thoughts on this issue have been well documented here many times over, much to the chagrine of the bleeding heart liberalists contention here who seem either uneducated or at least undereducated on the political/socioeconomic ramifications of this issue and seem content to allow continued willfull lawlessness while happily handing out untold boatloads of our tax dollars to illegal members of our society, and then when cornered on the issue try the old "redirect tactic" by trying to focus attention on other issues and their various impacts, but .....

Here's what a local retired college professor had to relate on the issue as well ....

" Illegal Immigration And Cheap Labor??

I can't figure out what rights the illigals want. They already have more rights than those of us who live, work and pay taxes and insurance. Just what rights are they missing??

The phrase "cheap labor" is a myth, a farce, and a lie. There is no such thing as "cheap labor."

Let's take as an example a Mexican national who illegally crosses the border with his wife and five children and inspect the impact of his "cheap labor".

He takes a job for five or six dollars an hour. At
that wage, with six dependents he pays no income tax, yet at the end of the year gets an "earned income credit" of up to $3,200 free.

He qualifies for Section 8 housing and subsidized rent, food stamps, and free (no deductible, no co-pay) health care.

His children get free breakfasts and lunches at school, and require bilingual teachers and books that taxpayers get to provide, at an additional premium over single language books and teachers (bilingual teachers, translators and extra pages aren't free!).

He doesn't have to worry about car insurance, life insurance, or homeowners insurance. Taxpayers get to provide the funds to insure he'll have Spanish language signs, bulletins and printed materials for every government document he'll need to apply for any service or other "entitlement".

He cannot be harassed, or sued by a member of mainstream society as such actions are labeled as racist or at the very least a violation of his civil rights .

He and his family receive the equivalent of $20 to $30 an hour in taxpayer supplied benefits, while working Americans are lucky to have $5 or $6 an hour left after paying their bills and his, and paying for increased crime prevention, incarceration costs, graffiti clean up, and trash cleanup.

Cheap labor? YEAH RIGHT"
