This is probably the smartest thing George has done. Our borders are being protected. I am not a racist nor do I imply anyone is. Everyone should have an equal shot at everything this country has to offer. But, it must be done in a legal manner, with chechs and balances. We should not single out any minority and give them any better or worst treatment. Let me use an example of that. I walk up to an ATM machine to get $20 and low and behold, I have 2 choices for language, English and Spanish. My question is, "Are there no Chinese, Japanese, German, Italian Americans?" Should their language not be included also? Or maybe they should be listed as "Other". If we travel to Germany, we learn German. France, French. Latino Americans can learn English Just as I learned Spanish in High School. I work in construction, and it was an incentive to have my foreman learn spanish to communicate with workers. Cost was the reason behind not letting Latino workers all learn English. It is easier to teach 1 person, than 30.
Things need to change, I agree that Iraq money is bad money chasing good, but like a surgeon, the incision must be closed now that it was opened. Democracy is a good thing if it is run properly. I am just not sure if it will work for Iraq. America needs to pull together instead of dividing itself. We need to address issues at hand here first, not there. Wherever there may be.
