Your theory supports that whackjob guy who shot and killed the kid who walked across his lawn.
If you allow someone to enter or they sneek in the country and you don't do anything about it, then you are saying as the authority that it is LEGAL. Flat out.
jgoins ... actually there is a statute of limitations on a bank robbery. In the US it is 5 years. If a prosecutor doesn't bring the charges in those 5 years you are off scott free.
Murder carries a forever for a statute of limitations because the action is forever.
Sneeking into the country is not forever therefore the statute of limitations is much shorter.
Let's see how smart you are. Bank robbery 5 years limitation vs. illegally entering the country. Seems like the limitation would be quite short in comparison because bank robbery puts many peoples lives at risk. Border jumping is non violent.
