Based on the Gringo Experience(TM), "the way you do it" is: obtain superior firepower, fuck over whoever lives in the land you want (after taking their hospitality) - and preferably by a huge numerical advantage, burn their crops, kill their women and children, then force the rest into "re-education schools", preferably of the religious variety.

After that, infect them with whatever disease you know how to control, and herd them into hopeless and dry/dead areas called "homelands" or "reservations".

Just start praying in spanish... that might actually help.
