And God looked down upon the garden of Eden and saw that that Adam was smiling. God thought: "I'll soon fix that."
That night, when Adam was asleep, God took one of Adams ribs, and made woman, then placed her beside Adam.
A week later, Adam was no longer smiling. God looked down, well pleased with his work, thinking, "that'll teach him, he won't smile anymore!"
And so it was that Adam smiled no more.
