How are insurgents liberated Iraqis, who for the most part are indiscriminately slaughtering innocent Iraqis??? The insurgents are obviously ruthless sociopathic thugs. They enforce their ideals on others under the threat of summary execution. There doesn't seem to be any limits whatsoever to the depths of their depravity. They routinely break tenets any civilized society hold sacred. Is that the type of world you admire?
Although the degree of difficulty of bringing a part of the arab world into the 21st century may have been grossly underestimated, the goal is no less worthy. It would have been a very good thing for the entire region if Iraq could have been turned into a moderate, democratic, secular, and prosperous nation. I don't care what you think Bush's agenda is, the fact is many people are in fact working hard trying to make this a reality. The "liberated insurgents" are working hard at stopping this process by creating an atmosphere of anarchy and terror. They are sabotaging any signs of American reconstruction efforts or other help. This chaotic atmosphere is what the average Iraqi resents, not the democracy brought by the USA.
