funny, Ive never seen any public documents saying,"today an attack on the dam at lake Powell has been averted" or maybe,"AL qaeda members were killed by snipers outside the u.s. embassy in Taiwan today before they could detonate themselves inside". or, the list goes on and on. there are things that should not be public......like wiretaps or troop movements, averted attacks,intel,troop strenghths,future plans. etc. etc. etc. I'm sure there have been plenty of attacks diffused w/o ever getting to the "news". the news agencies are jeopardizing our national security for the sake of saying they got the story first! they don't even care if it's true or not, they just say,"by an unconfirmed report....." w.t.f.!
