Anonymous@108165, 8 years of peace? While Clinton was in office we sent soldiers to Somalia, Haiti, Bosnia, Albania, and Macedonia, to name just a few major deployments. Not to mention that I was involved in a few of them. There was a lot less of a reason for us to be in those Hell-holes than Iraq. The economy started to recede in August, 2000; Three months even before the election and 5 months before Bush took office. Let's not even get into the WTC. That was being planned all through the 90's. The oil prices, however, infuriate me too and the President needs to give that more attention than it's getting.
