Yeah Australians seem to jump in whenever they see an opportunity to take down a nightmarish homicidal regime and free an oppressed people. There are worse things to fight for. Since WW1, the US has not been afraid to take action to stop tyranny, repression, and genocide. Case in point: Nazi Germany slaughtering jews and slavs to free up lebensraum in Eastern Europe for the superior german people, Imperial Japan clearing China for Japanese expansion, Serbians executing thousands of muslims for ethnic cleansing. Saddam, repression and execution of thousands of Kurds and Shiites. All brought to justice with significant help and leadership from the US. And what appreciation and thanks do they get? It is a lot easier to take no action in the face of injustices. There is no risk for making mistakes or suffering criticism is there? Just like pedestrians that see an old lady getting mugged and refusing to help. There is no risk to taking no action except the risk of sacrificing your principles. By the way, I would just like to express my admiration for the brave Iraqis that defied the threats from the Islamic terrorists and voted for a new age in the middle east. Unfortunately, some Iraqis did die and the only crime they committed was trying to exercise their right to vote. It is hard to comprehend the motivations of the maniacs that strapped explosives to themselves, stood in line with voters, and detonated their deadly packages. It seems to me that people enjoy disparaging the US more than these murderers. The irony is almost unbearable.
