My guess is he is....

Haven't seen a post from f-d for a long time. Where is he and what is 613's star hermit doing that keeps him so busy?

I suspect he's off digging fossils.

Well I think he likes Pepsi Better. His Computer is on Holiday and he is probably high in a gay car parked in his closet somewhere in the US, But not in prison.

I thought maybe the ginger police had picked him up for jay gay-walking but then I thought it would never have taken them that long to find him. So I now think he got RSI from a combination of factors winking smiley and can no longer use his wrists / fingers to log in. Nice to see the Beast is back!

Hey wait a minute...! F-d missing and the beast returns. I'm thinking... have I ever seen them in the same room at the same time? Alter-ego maybe? smiling bouncing smiley

The weather in Dallas has been pretty humid these last few weeks. A lot like Houston. Hopefully he is in some other hot, sticky predicament place

Truth be known, he brought his seriously ailing data box and I managed to cure it completely .... by bustin/bendin a bunch CPU pins while tryin to get his CPU heatsink cleaned and then the CPU put back in eye popping smiley

Seems now I can add killin CPUs to my list of other computer killing skills eye rolling smiley

Nah, not really. But .... I did offer to chunk it out in the yard and break out the pistola though, which fossil kindly declined.

So ... we stepped out and had some tasty Mescan food instead and saved the shells so PLP could have some fun with it instead. Good Mescan food is always a good salve for whatever ails ya 'round these parts smileys with beer

BTW, PLP told me that sucker was more full of viruses than that nasty ol vat of muck down at the water treatment plant, but set about remedyin it as best as he could (like the friend and trooper PLP is) anyway smileys with beer

Hopefully fossil won't hold too big a grudge against me fer breakin his machine, but my guess is he'll likely have a few choice words to relate once he gets back in the saddle and starts poundin away at his keeboard again eye popping smiley

I'm glad you added "at his keyboard", that's all I can say.

Haha very funny pulse, good one.

Speaking of keyboards I had to buy a new one today. I wore out the space bar on my old $8 keyboard. (thanks to Air Rivals) Decided to splurge and spent $19 locally on this one since the $6 keyboard I found online wanted $8.25 shipping.I must say... I like it.

Not to brag but if I was the one to fix fossils PC he'd have been back in 3 days or less (ok so I bragged). bending pins on a CPU.... come on dude, why would you EVER need to do that??? ( I hope that was a joke)

I just had to buy a CPU for a customers PC. Power supply blew and took the motherboard, CPU and I have yet to find out what else with it. It's an HP Pavilion 335W. The guy took it to a shop and they took one look at the MB, saw blown capacitors and wanted $75 for a motherboard, and $50 for a power supply.

I got the MB for $50, PS free since I had one never used in the box, and it turns out the CPU is blown as well. Got the P4 2.4 Gig it needs with a 533Mhz bus (old one was 400) for $26. The guy is getting a new PC in the old case basically; for a lot less than that shop would have charged him.

Too bad Fossil doesn't live in Florida.

I hope Fossil is back "pounding away" soon.

Jeez, I just realized ... fossil can't read this stuff at all now so I could say things like .... "poundin sand up a rat hole" or "poundin his sister-in-law on the side" or even "poundin the hell outta _________" ... but I won't smiling bouncing smiley

No duh Lexx, I felt like a total dumbass for doin that to his CPU but never having encountered this particular CPU, when I slipped it back in it seemed like it was really just bein pesky tryin to get the CPU cooler tangs locked back down onto the MoBo disappointed smiley

Bein a recent noob to buildin 'puters I've only dealt with the newer Core 2 Duo style 775 sockets, which are much easier to work with .... and a bit more forgiving I might add!

Fossil Would'a had his system back in the mail the same day I got it, but I am still waiting for parts to be delivered. so it is sitting in my office collecting dust. Sides he doesn't seem to be in any rush. it took him 2 weeks to decide to send it for help. Not everyone is a computer person, so I hold no blame on Mr.Kim nor Fossil, the system is way out of date (a fossil) so the cheap cheap processor is the last of its line and is higher quality than the OEM Proc. Maybe the Proc will be here soon. any way.

Just a matter of time till he'll be back on a monitor near you ...... I sent fossil home with a new mosheen last night loaded up with a fresh installation of Ubuntu 8.04. No more virii riddled OSes or HDs for FD smileys with beer

Just 2 nights ago I loaded 8.04 onto my G/Fs laptop for the same reason. Her kids (and their friends) surfin on her poor laptop she keeps on the bar in the kitchen had managed to get it to the point it wouldn't even boot up. Turn it on and it'd spit out an error message sayin it had no HD to boot from eye rolling smiley

So ... loaded up a Linux OS and waved buh-bye to such BS. Score 2 more converts for Tux smileys with beer

I'm back
I'm back in the saddle again
I'm back
I'm back in the saddle again

Ridin' into town alone by the light of the moon
I'm lookin' for old Sukie Jones she crazy horse saloon
Barkeep gimme a drink that's when she caught my eye
She turned to give me a wink that make a grown man cry

I'm back in the saddle again
I'm back
I'm back in the saddle again
I'm back

Come easy, go easy, all right till the rising sun
I'm calling all the shots tonight I'm like a loaded gun
Peelin' off my boots and chaps I'm saddle sore
Four bits gets you time in the racks I scream for more
Fools' gold out of their mines the girls are soaking wet
No tongue's drier than mine I'll come when I get back

I'm back in the saddle again
I'm back
I'm back in the saddle again

I'm ridin', I'm loadin' up my pistol
I'm ridin', I really got a fistful
I'm ridin', I'm shinin' up my saddle
I'm ridin', this snake is gonna rattle

I'm back in the saddle again
I'm back
I'm back in the saddle again
I'm back

Ridin' high
Ridin' high
Ridin' high
Already
