The balloons have a few bugs, same as the "image title" tooltip. I think DK gave up on them years ago.
Pulse, when you go back a few pages in a gallery that has been sorted (i.e. my image uploads or my image comments),
the balloons start appearing on every second image even though there are in fact no recent comments.

For me in my comments sorting on the 4th page they start appearing on every image that I was the last one to add a comment on.

The cookies seem to get half eaten from time to time. The forum is better than the gallery, if you just click 'mark as read' on the main forum page it should reset itself. I do this maybe every 3-4 months and it's all good.

The speech bubbles on images. Yeah. Hm. I'm gonna blame DK. I'm not sure what can be done with that, I'm pretty sure that's cookie based too.

I'll have a word to DK see if it's something we can do anything about.

You can also sort the gallery by recent comments you all realise? So at least then you can see what images have the latest comments on them & you don't have to go trawling through thousands of pages - and hey you might just see something posted on an old image winking smiley

Anyway yeah I get what you mean. I'll check it out

Btw the forum new flag thingy is when some nice bot spams the forum & we delete it, it's not smart enough to know the posts are gone, it just knows there was something new you hadn't read

At first I thought Woberto was actually talking about seeing balloons shit and that was what was difficult for him to describe. Maybe he was. I'm not sure that is something I'd like to read a description of anyway.

I understand. Your mark read on the forum thread suggestion worked. As far as I know I keep cookies from this site until they expire. I'll have to check that stuff. I delete browsing history but not sure that would have an effect on these things. I don't have to log in every time I visit so I think the cookies deal on my end is ok.

I forgot to say Thanks. I've got mine set for the gallery recent images and like it that way, I never noticed the comments filter. I'm sure I saw it before, it just didn't stick in my head.

I still wish for a user comments selection unless that's hidden somewhere too smiling smiley
