Is there any way that we can organise to have our upload names password protected, as people have been using my upload name to upload "crap"!!!

I agree. I'm sick of people posing as me. They put up photos that make me look like I'm homosexual - I'm actually bisexual!

Honestly guys, please stop it. I really like this website and feel I've created a reasonably cool presence for myself on these boards. If you want to post pictures of nakid men please do it under your own names or anonymously if you don't want people to know that you're into that thing. Thanks for listening, and remember - #plus613 forever!

Sorry David but this how the site was designed. To be open and as such it is open to abuse.

Would a system where users can attach a password to a nick work for you? Pretty basic but should do the trick and would allow the system to be open. A similar system may apply for comments.

Keep those uploads up!

A plus admin.

I think the best way would be to allow anybody to post as anything, however if you wanted to, you could password protect your account.

The site was never designed to be as big as it is, there are a few things that need a bit of a rework.. we'll look into password protection.

I wish you would. I know I have been harsh and cynical a lot, but that's just me. I think its funny sometimes to argue with people who use my screen name. But for the most part, I just wish it were people with higher I.Q.s that use my screen name. I don't mind sounding like a jackass, but I do mind like sounding like a STUPID, IGNORANT, DUMB jackass. Wow, what creative humor. I bet your father's dick goes limp when you turn him on with your garble.

Hey Wonphatho; it's all well and good that you don't mind arguing with some freak who's nicked your name, but to a third party it simply has no interest because there's no way of telling which -- if any! -- of the Wonphatho's are genuine.

It must have some interest, Mr. or Ms. Third Party. You replied to my comment.

Well one way around it would be simply to display the IP address of whoever posted the comment next to it. That would let you see who is who on the comments, but it would also remove a definite element of the anonymity of the site (which in some cases wouldn't be an altogether bad thing).

I think the best way around it is to protect individual screen names by password IF you want to, but I'm not sure of the best way of going about this.

The problem this entails is that as soon as such a system were put in place, if somebody really had a problem with you they'd simply register your name and we'd have no way of knowing who's who, thus you'd need to choose a new one anyway.

I don't know. If anybody has any suggestions, please let us know and we'll see what we can do.

Although this has been covered in other forum posts, we now have the ability to register your nickname. This will prevent anybody from using it when they are not logged in under your account. This is the only way to protect your name on this site, and at the moment that's all user registration is used for, though in the future there may be some exciting new features which will only be able to be tied to an actual login account. We've got some great stuff in the pipeline, so stay tuned smiling smiley
