I've just added support to use google maps to the 'users online' page. Unfortunately this can only be on the plus side as it breaks googles TOS for it to work on the 'darkside' sigh. Oh well, enjoy!

Well looking at the list, Firefox has definitely cornered the browser market! Not an IE in sight!

users online has been around since day 1 of the site

Ok dv8 i've modified the users_online to not show the last 2 parts of the ip. The map can stay as is because you can't link who is actually who from what ip, and location information from ip's is public space anyway.

I've also extended the column that stores the browser tag due to firefox needing more than 80 chars to identify itself =(

I think it would be cool to see a list of users online showing user i.d.

i.e.

users online:
pro_junior
DarkKlown
fossil_digger
etc.

I don't mean adding user i.d. next to ip, I mean a separate list...

I'm looking at adding something like that to homepages, like on a homepage you can see if the user is online and also if you add someone as a friend it'll show them online or not. I'm also going to be adding more to the top list at the request of woberto in the next few weeks.

it is pretty easy to link some of us to our isp location, being the only user in that country... but then most of the regulars know enough about one-another so that it is not anything new. */me breaks open a can of proxies*

It's a nice feature, I like it smiling smiley
