Ok so i finally got off my ass and rewrote the entire site. This should open up the doors for a more uniform aspect of the design of the site, lower the requirements of hosting costs for the site, and enable us to expand to any future requirements we come up with.

What this means to you the user?

Not much, you should notice a few new features of the forums (avatars!!) and the use of recaptcha for spam protection. You'll also notice a whole lot of broken features. Please let me know here, as i said this is a from scratch write no existing code was used so be prepared for bugs to pop up.

Nah actually it looks like he's done a half way decent job.. but don't tell dk that, he'll start to think he's not an asshole and get a big head.

avatar shows immediately after posting comment. but does not show in subsequent views of same post...

^that link does not appear to be working in comment preview...it is for

signature feature and posting image in comment field not working...

when opening multiple tabs on porn side I noticed the tabs were labled plus613 however the url in url box was correct...

really like how everything looks now, thanks DK spinning smiley sticking its tongue out

image stats on pics show one more comment than there really is... i.e. if no comments it says 1 comment...if there are 4 comments, it says 5...

posted and was logged in but image stats shows uploader as anonymous...

also in image stats, can not click on uploader to see all of their previous posts..

can not edit comments on pictures...

ok, when i click my user name i get somebody else's uploads and when i go to my uploads from the link under the 613 logo i get just the first 10 pages in the drop down skip to menu, the other 7 pages are only accessible by clicking next (7 times) to get to the final page. I'll keep looking for bugs because I know dk has too much free time at the weekends. smiling smiley

i can't upload pictures using Safari, I have not tried Firefox (mac). I am logged in but my username is not preset in the box for who is uploading, it says anon. At the end of the process the page just hangs like it's trying but ... it just hangs. sad smiley

and the date format has reverted to the American standard,, it was set to dd/mm/yy before, which made it easier to spot new posts in the forums, imo.

Nice addition of pm & report links in the forums thumbs down The site also looks a lot cleaner and tidier.

and it's not working with the fox either, just checked. Cannot upload *cries*
and ... on the my comments page it used to say under the thumbs how many comments there were. V. useful for immediately being able to see if anybody had commented after you. Now alas it is no more.

and, no more stats under the thumbs in the my image uploads gallery.

I am going to go and read a book now before i find something else and sit here all night editing this comment. Can anyone recommend a book? I am wondering if you guys are not yet finished doing the updates / changes and if I am just wasting my time pointing out stuff you already know about confused smiley

pro, I kinda didn't like the look of avatars on image comments so i purposefully didn't enable them.. see how people go for a few days and maybe i'll enable them in the future.. i need to sort out [image] meta tags for the forum.. header fixed..


ok zxz555, I've fixed the comment count bug, clicking on your name should bring up your images now, and defaulting to putting your login name on add_photo if your logged in and Anonymous if your not.. forum voting i kinda dropped because i didn't think any1 really used it.. i've got a better idea for a replacement but i'll do that once we sort out site bugs (will also need to bring back groups.. fossil will be pissed if he doesn't have a 'i live here' next to his name smiling bouncing smiley ).. stats in galleries was removed to give a more universal/clean look, I'll take a look at the pageinator in gallery tonight..

i always thought the "titles" next to the users names was kinda goofy. maybe put what place the user is in the top 10?....nah

I'm really missing being able to see the stats beneath the thumbnails when looking at images I've commented on and/or posted. Like to see the number of comments so I know weather or not the thread has been added to without having to click on it.

click on 'control center'

then over on the left side click on avatars...

browse for a file and upload...

if a picture you want to use is too large, you can use photobucket to resize it...

hope that helps... smileys with beer
