Unfortunately until we can get the new servers and mirrors into place, it'll be a recurring theme as old mirrors hit their capacity limits.

A new mirror is just about to wrap up being built and that should add some much needed extra capacity to the sites over the next 24 hours.

The new core server is also approaching a state of readiness and hopefully that'll be online this weekend.

You never look at the backside of a mirror because when you do, it'll affect your future because you're looking at yourself backwards. No, you're looking at your inner self and you don't recognize it because you've never seen it before.

And its back again. I mistakenly deleted a bunch of photos on the other side because of the RED X situation. Seems that when the photos are first uploaded they are fine but check on them a little while longer and then they are red X and the thumbs are as well.

When you see red X for images that you don't think are meant to be there, right click on them and view properties and see which image farm they're coming from.

Eg, images01.plus613.net or images02.plus613.net - they're both different clusters, existing completely independently of each other. thumbs.plus613.net (the thumbs server) is different again. It's much easier for us to track down issues when we know where they are. Also try shift-refresh of your browser once or twice to see if they DO load successfully from the other image farm (eg if it fails on images02, does it work on images01?)

Anyway, I believe we are being heavily hotlinked to for images, which is causing us problems on the image farms which is what's causing this, we're still investigating.

Edit: Oh yeah, the reason it works for 10-15 minutes and then stops working is when images are first uploaded, the image and thumb is loaded from the core server (www.plus613.net). It's not until the 'housekeeping' script runs to mirror the new images out to the image farms, and the thumb out to the thumbs server, that the image stops being hosted from the core server and starts being loaded from the mirrors. If something in that transfer or display step has failed, then they'll stop working.
