Didn't you hear about the fighting that occured prior to that speech being
delivered by Powell to the UN ?
Powell was pissed off for what he was asked to do. And because of that Powell
was put on the backburner as SoS. Other people were doing his job.
Publicly firing the well respected token brother would look bad for Bush so he
let Powell go gracefully.
Why do you think he replaced Powell with Rice ? Talk about convenient that she
was black. And also had been an advisor to Chevron corp. She fit the plan better
than Powell anyway.
