i just did a rough conversion and here (UK) it would say $9.28*, so quit your whinging.

*based on that being a price per gallon, while we pay £1.23 a litre.

j1mg - I just did the calculation too - it works out to US$4.40/US gall. here in NZ (NZ$1.899/litre) and I thought we had it bad! (I also checked your calclulations and only got $8.12 - so I don't know what exchange rate you were using).

$2.99 gal. here in my lil burg today. Anyone with a brain knows we're gettin reamed pretty good these days by the oil companies. It's a damned shame when this price actually looks good compared to what we've been payin and this price is about double what we were payin a lil over a year ago moody

2.91 here. And i say BOOO HOOO to UK always throwing out that comparison. You have to import 90% of your gas. We refine our own. It SHOULD be cheaper here.

mint you are a numbnuts retard, again. Ever heard of Norway, the richest country in the world. rich from one commodity, oil? Now, name the island on the other side the North Sea that shares those very same oil reserves at the bottom of that sea. I bet you can't, can you?

and zxz555 Although i was jokingly grossly over exaggerating when i said 90%, i said refined gas not oil. UK has like ~10 oil refiners to the USA's ~150

'berto - in NZ:
Petrol(Gas) = NZ$1.899/litre
Milk = NZ$1.60/litre
Orange Juice = NZ$1.30/litre
Botled Water = NZ$1.10/litre
Red Bull - Don't buy it so don't know the price, but i paid NZ$1.20/litre for some Pepsi yesterday.
So why should I be grateful my car runs on petrol?

Petrol in OZ is on average $1.55 per litre at this point in time.
That's $5.87 per US Gallon.

Evian water = $2.71 per litre (based on $4.07 for 1.5 litre bottle).
Milk = $2.50 per litre (based on $4.99 for 2 litre bottle).
Coca Cola = $1.70 per litre (based on $3.42 for 2 litre bottle).

berto - I shop at a supermarket called Countdown

Your first problem - Evian! Store brand bottled water 5 litre bottle - approx $6/bottle.
Milk - I was guessing a bit on the milk - from memory is about $4.80 for a 3 litre bottle - may be more than that but not a lot more. Store brand again!
Pepsi - $1.79 for a 1.5 litre bottle - on special, normally $2.09.
Orange Juice - $3.89 for a 3 litre bottle - store brand of course!
As i said in my last post - don't drink Red Bull and don't see it as a staple requirement like the rest.

Lower your brand expectations, buy in bulk when you can and you too can show the same indignation I do over fuel prices.
