Nope, when he opened his mouth it was all nice and pearly white inside! This
one was only about 2' long and obviously not very old from his small body
diameter.
Annyhoosal, since I hate snakes and damned sure didn wanna find this one lollin
about on the porch again later, when he's BIGGER .... he met an untimely end
care of Mr. .22 Pistola
Out here in the sticks of east Texas you never know what you'll find, but one
thing's for sure .... I'll NEVER find this one again

We have a lot of those here in Central Florida. They have no fear of man I have
actually had them come right into my fishing boat and grab a fish.
They can get big too. I saw one wrapped around a little tree at Big Sand lake
that must have been over 6 feet long and was as fat in the middle as the tire on
a small car.

they don't bulk up 'till around 3- 3 1/2 feet.
hey kim that reminds me, years ago when my buddies mom had a lakehouse close to
you, we saw a breeding ball of cottonmouths just off shore in 2-3 feet of water.
he runs back to the house to get the shot gun. he shot right into the pile and
they went nuts! at least 4 larger ones jumped from the pile on shore and took
off towards us. good thing his duck plug wasn't in.

Nope anon, this was definitely a cottonmouth. Racers don't have the same
triangular shaped head as pit vipers and they are not marked anything like a
cottonmouth.
