Sorry about the soft focus. This was taken with my Sanyo camera phone. That's about half of 'em, the other seven were out hunting squirrels.

'Ole Bill (William) is actually one of the most hyperactive dogs I've ever raised. He's quite a personable character...very smart, and an awesome hunter, flusher, and retriever. Also a tireless swimmer. But the one thing I've learned to do is stand to one side of the kennel door when I open it in the morning, 'cause he flys out so fast, he nails me in the nutsack if I'm in the way. Very painful, to say the least.

I had a springer once, named "Sarge". Was as full
of energy as your "William" sounds to be. Had to
make him run next to the vehicle for a mile before the hunt...just to get him to work close.
They are great swimmers. Sarge would retrieve
underwater. (semi-webbed feet...)
