Those men fought hard for what they believed in. They have won the right to walk tall and have their reunion regardless of how preceived in modern politics. Remember, the Civil War was not just about slavery and most veterans did not own slaves themselves. It is like the present soldiers in Iraq -- they have earned the right to walk tall and should openly advertise reunions even though history is going to judge this war and its political underpinnings very harshly.

i have relatives that attended
