Doin' well, Digger. Took 'em up to Idaho for some field trials and training. Went over to Stanley for some R&R afterwards. God's country...Awesome trail riding, camping and fishing.

I'm gonna make it over to TX soon, My bro's in Plano expecting me to visit late summer. Mystery stomach problems? Like acid reflux or something? Hope you're in the care of a good Doc, man...that stuff can be serious.

I'll let you know when I'm on my way. I'll post my pic on this site so you'll know who to look for. But then I'm sure I'll end up getting N-headed! Any place you can recommend for a good Texas barbeque around DFW?

barbeque and catfish, the essentials of life.
my grandparents always taught me that when you go into a catfish or bbq rest. and you're the only white person, you're in for a good meal. those are the only places i frequent.

TexMex is my fave...got a place here in town that does up some killer beef brisket tamales, along with ostrich and buffalo tacos and other entrees. Awesome.

ostrich and buffalo tacos? sounds good. theres also a meat market in plano at parker and custer that has the best jerky you'll ever eat. 25.00/pound. they also sell all kinds of exotic meats like buffalo, ostrich etc....
mexican food go to Ojedas.

I'll check it out. Looks like early September before I'm ready to travel. Don't know if I'll drive or fly. Might have to ask the stripper next door if she'll tend to my dogs while i'm gone...$500 a week for kennel fees gets kinda old after a while.

Yeah, but I can handle it...been driving to Idaho, Montana, and Nevada for different events, either dirt bike riding or field trials with the Springers, sometimes a little of both. Will give me the chance to break in my new GMC Sierra pickup. Hopefully I can get a good deal on a 24-28ft trailer by then, so I can haul around a little bit of home with me.

you could get a pretty good deal on a trailer while you're here. lots of manufacturers here that ship all over the country. now that i think about it, mrkim had one for sale.

I'm looking at a fully self contained tandem axle 28 footer with a workshop area, full size loading door and ramp, has a kitchen and dunny, plus room for up to six to bed down. These are around $20-30K plus...but found a couple of really nice ones less than four years old for around half that!

I'm definitely doing that, and getting one with a stainless steel floor in the work area for the bikes and toolboxes. These are pretty cool, just like what most race teams use, although I don't need anything 40ft plus like those guys.

gooseneck hitch is recommended for a trailer like that. + you get the extra storage.
sounds like you know what you want.
i have a friend who owns a wells cargo dealership in dallas, and he sells other brands as well.

I'll look him up if I don't make a decision here shortly. The idea was to have something along for the ride, anyway.
