Leonardo's works included the Mona Lisa, the Last Supper, and the Annunciation; he led the group, and his weapon was the katana
Donatello's works included David, Gattamelata, and St. John the Evangelist; he did machines for the group, and his weapon was the bow staff
Raphael's works included the School of Athens, Red Chalk Drawing, and Madonna in the Meadow; he was cool but rude, and his weapon was the Sai
Michelangelo's work included Michelangelo's Marble and Sculpture, and most notably the mural in the Sistine Chappel; he was a party dude, and his weapon was the nunchucka

The word 'Kowabunga' was added to the Oxford English dictionary when the cartoon was popular because of hoards of screaming ankle biters who wanted to have it added and thus corrupt the English language further.

It should be noted that an alphabetical listing is also a chronological listing of the artist. I picked up this tidbit in an art history class. Also, the weapons correlate alphabetically.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot. The colors of their masks are inverse to the order of visible light. V,B,O,R vs. ROy g BiV.
