It is a Mexican custom to name children after religious icons. There are many
male Mexicans with the name Jesus, which in Spanish is pronounced
"hay-zeus" (more or less). In their culture, it isn't a problem, where
in American culture, naming a child Jesus is considered by many to be
sacraligious.
