Reminds me of the old XB-70

Actually, that's not far from the truth mrkim. This Tupolev design mirrored the Boeing SST project, albeit with less engine efficiency and other problems that were never fully addressed. This plane had many design elements of their own XB-70 knockoff.

This is an excellent source of information from one of Russia's greatest aircraft design bureaus.

Don't mention it. Here's another link for Tupolev; [www.tupolev.ru]

Amazing. How the world has changed...this information would have been heavily censored only a few years ago. The Sukhoi site even provides street addresses for it's design bureaus and manufacturing facilities.

Here's a link for Antonov, builder of the world's largest transport aircraft. I walked up the loading platform of an AN-225 a few years ago, and I'm not joking,...you could play pro football inside the cargo bay.

And last but certainly not least;
[www.migavia.ru]

Some of the world's most advanced and fearsome fighter aircraft. My dream vacation would be a trip to Russia for a ride on a MiG-29. Cash strapped Russian military gladly flys tourists for money if they pass the physical and pre-flight training.
