Nice choice, John...could not agree with you more. Have one of these too! A much better camera than the Canon G-series, I really like the lens, although I think the motor coupled zoom is quirky and imprecise.

My F-828 is...

28-135mm optical zoom
135-200mm digital zoom (I don't use digital zoom)
Auto, ISO 64/100/200/400 equivalent

I think Power Shot Pro1 is better than F-828.

With the 1GB card can get plenty of pics at 8mp
