Hell yeah, get weaned and get real Dancing Green Banana!

Started buyin up parts for my winter/spring project, a 92 Laser. With a target of 500 or so ponies, AWD, 4 wheel discs and all suspension renewed with polyurethane/nylon goodies it should be a beast. Gonna be a blast waxin all the local 'Stangs, Camaros and Honduh boy wanna be's when I get it finished.

Aimin for a max boost range of 20-25psi on a full tilt boogie 2.4L Hyundai/Mitsu hybrid set up. This baby will have lotsa custom touches none of my customers engines ever saw .... muahahahahaha (matrix)

The last one I built similar to what I'll be puttin together dynoed at a lil over 500 at the wheels (FWD) on like 18psi.

I plan to build in a bit of extra versatility in case I wanna really light somebody up but I'll problee set up the street tune to a max of about 18-20psi.

From the dock at work I've seem a Lambo Gallardo whip in at the Blockbuster across the street the last 2 2sdee nights. Lambo huntin in a 20 yr old Laser oughta be great fun.

I figure I'll problee have about $15k in the Laser when I get finished (only paid $400 for it) and I bet that would really rip the Lambo dude a new one to get waxed by my lil Laser, same with all the new muscle car crowd around here.

I doubt many of the locals even know what a DSM is, but it sure will be fun takin 'em to school Dancing Green Banana!

Oh yeah, I intend to keep it in sleeper mode. The suspension's gonna get a 1" drop for a lil better handling, and that along w/the 17" aluminum wheels and tires are about all that won't look stock.

There's a factory FMIC from a Volvo diesel truck engine I'm gonna try to use (if it will stand up to the boost I wanna run) that would even negate the use of the standard blingalicious aluminum front mounts most turbo rides sport up front that make 'em a dead give away as to what's under the hood.

This one is a thin dual core that's the size of a standard radiator. Having studied the concept a bit it actually would seem to be a better design due to more surface area and with its thinner core it should more effectively extract the heat from the intake charge quite well, and ... it has the 3" snouts in exactly the position I want.

I'm gonna try out a mister nozzle spray bar design I drew up some years back to also make the IC more efficient. I have a water injection set up I built for my old NA Talon that will work perfectly for the pump system for it and the 60psi it puts out should work great with the wide spray pattern nozzles I wanna use. I never have understood why such systems aren't used more on boosted engines.

It's also NOT gonna be loud! Loud cars are bona fide cop magnets and make listenin to my fave tunes a drag too. 'Sides a car dudn have to have a load assed exhaust to perform well anyway. It has a place underneath for a factory resonator that will work well to house a small primary 3" muffler and then still leave room for another larger one at the stock location at the rear too.

The Lasers were the mousiest lookin of all the DSMs, no fancy front air dams or body cladding at all, which also saves about 150lbs too and this one originally bein a base model it's the lightest of all the Lasers they built.

Maybe I'll even chunk the old factory 1.8L engine in the rear for better traction clown
