I always felt it was a huge injustice Senna didn die from another driver crashin him out like he'd done so many times in his career. The closest thing to a Dale Earnhart I ever saw in F-1.

In the end they both got what was deserved .... RIP fuckers up

Biggest asshole in F1? Did you not follow Schumacher's career?

Senna was a driving genius, and I for one would have liked him to be around for longer entertaining the fans.

I beg to differ GAK. I always admired Schumacher and he seemed an absolute gentleman both on and off the track. He was just as gracious in defeat as he was when he won, always payed the proper respect to his team and sponsors and .... the fans. All things considered I thought he was an owner/sponsors dream driver. I saw him do things that were amazing and never saw him intentionally crash anyone out, something I saw Senna do on numerous occasions.

Senna by comparison was the most arrogant, wreckless and self centered POS driver I can recall ever seein! I watched him crash many drivers, whine like a fuckin baby when he lost, never commended his team for their efforts unless he did win and avoided fans like the plague. Though he was a phenomenal driver, he also was a whiny bitch boy to boot.

Racing, real racing is NOT just ability, nor is it driving to win at whatever cost to others on the track.

The comment so prevalent from NASCAR fans that "Rubbin is racin" is the same kinda mindset Senna seemed to agree with. Problem is, in open wheel racing it seldom ends with just swappin some paint and regardless, that's NOT what racing is about anyway (*horse*)

I think you are forgetting Adelaide 1994 when Schumacher took out championship rival Damon Hill, and Jerez 1997 when he took out Villeneuve. Not to mention the team orders that meant he got vicoties and points he didn't deserve. Then you need to take into account how Ferrari had a tyre supplier formulating their tyres to suit his car and style of driving (and all the other users of that tyre having to live with those consequences). Then there's the political wheeling and dealing that meant that Ferrari had more money from FOM than any other team. He was a good driver, but he was playing with a stacked deck. Look at his recent form - his inexperienced team mate usually beats him.

Sure Senna may have been arrogant and aggressive on the track, but if I was putting a fantasy team together I would have Senna in the cockpit over Schumacher.

Yep, but I also remember Shumi takin a nothin Benneton team to their 1st championship with a car that wasn't the fastest on the circuit and then takin Ferrari to the championship in just 2 years when they haddn even won a race in years!

Comparatively Senna went straight to the then dominant team/car when he went to Honda, won championships, then when Honda left F-1 and the team went to McLaren & the team/car was not the dominant group he did not win. Then when his contract was up he begged Frank Williams for a ride and even offered to drive for free just so he could again be on a dominant team since Williams was the team/car to beat at the time.

Sure Michael had the benefit of the best financed team in F-1, so what, that's always a given in one team or another and usually changes hands kind of cyclicly in F-1. He also managed to field a team that was devoted and actually made the Ferrari altogether one of the best in many years, which also lead in no small part to his success as well as the Ferrari effort overall. And ... there's no way in hell you can fault the driver for team orders. The deal is, only one driver can be the champ and the team with the dominant car/drivers will always pick one driver to be that champ if it's in the cards for them to do so.

Senna was a spoiled rich Brazilian brat that had had everything handed to him on a platter, Shuie at least worked for what he got and succeeded by his efforts while at the same time building a team that was the darling of F-1 because the team as a whole was the best in the business.

I saw Senna do some amazing things .... amazingly ballzy, dangerous, and arrogant that led him to many championships.

Conversely, I saw Michael do amazing things too, but his were based in skill, calculated risk and immaculate talent grinning smiley

@whocarez: Yeah there are some idiots on here. I'd suggest that the easiest way for you to identify one is to look in the mirror.

Firstly you referred to idiots, as in plural, and yet there was only one use of 'Aryton' on the whole page.

You may think that you're perfect, but even without knowing you I know that you're not (and yes I am aware that I am not either). It's easy enough to make a mistake. For instance, starting a sentence without an uppercase letter, or removing a letter from a word and not putting an apostrophe in it's place. I wouldn't be so petty as to point those things out to somebody though. You need to remember that you can't go back and edit the title once it has been posted.

My advice to you would be to chill a little.

so if you don't care that he cares that you could care that he doesn't care, then why would you care?

I never said that I don't care whether he cared, but I couldn't care less what he cares about, but thanks for caring fossil.

He can care about whatever he wants to care about, but why I responded is that he decided to go on the offensive over something so trivial as a typo.

So Mrkim, after Schumi's antics at Spa do you still think he's a gentleman on track?
