It's kind of funny that the rest of the leaders at the table look so sour.
<Edit Date Stamp is DD/MM/YYYY. Interesting.>

Yes, like it should be smiling
smiley The sensible way.

We've had this debate on here before. Americans were wrong.

Correct date formats are either largest to smallest (2019-08-26; nice and easy to sort) or smallest to largest (26th day of the 8th month of the 2019th year - 26/8/2019. "What's the date today?" "26th of August".)

American date format is stupid and makes no sense.

Americans write the numerals in the same order as we say the date, August 26, 2019, so from that perspective it makes sense, but thinking the way the rest of the world does it is "interesting" rather than just the way it's done somewhere else doesn't reflect that sense of American superiority or innate correctness in everything the way it looks to have been intended.

Sure. But it's still the 26th day of August.

26th of August, 2019.

26/8/2019

But Pulse, do you actually say "26th day of August" when someone asks you the date? That's 7 syllables. "August 26th" is only 5. <<Actually, you do. Don't you. It's still too many syllables.
What prompted me to mention it was that I saw a recent edit for another pic and saw 12/8/2019. At a glance it looks amiss to a Yankee.
When I time stamp something I use YYYYMMDDHHMMSS. All in order.
They are all correct, actually.

Yeah, I remember the debates. Oo-Waah.

if I were asked the date I would say it's August 26, 2019... i.e. 8/26/2019

I like how this has nothing to do with the picture. This place needs to be more full of random crap

When I label individual photos of my grandkids I start with the name then year then month then day when I upload them to my computer. If it's a photo file I begin with a location or event name. I guess that would really confuse y'all but it puts them in order of when they were taken which is great for watching the kids grow or observing changes in locations.

Nah I'm a big fan of date and subject sorting; I agree YYYYMMDDHHMMSS

Everything I do at work is in that format. People find it weird though if you speak like that.

"What's the time?" "Oh it's 2019 08 27 23 11 14"

Ah, the beauty of it! Except I don't use the spaces. It's not weird. it's order, reality, truth. And computers love it(actually they don't give a fuck). But, as humans let's change the order just for fun!
Kids.
Life sucks then you die, doesn't sound random to me. It is standard. It has repeated itself countless times. And it is natural. I find it interesting that we are all born with a death sentence. No one gets out alive. "Sucks" sounds like what I keep hearing about Buddhism: Life is suffering. And I wonder if something has been lost in the translation or over time. Too much suffering (seems to me) is associated with the individuals attitude (meaning a poor attitude) toward the challenges of life. All that it is to me is the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics. But, some people surely suck.

They're terribly inbread, not good for the overall health of the species.
