Uh yeah, like as if electing and putting into place more of the same corrupt professional politicians that have gotten us into the mess we're in now has been working out so well.

Iddn there somethin about doin the same thing over and over while expecting different results ... oh yeah, that's the definition of being retarded (*facepalm*)

After having def gone down the wrong path for a number of years now as a nation and having arrived at a fork in the road, I'm all for taking the road less travelled (*binladen*)

I mean if those 2 were your best choices, there's something seriously wrong.

I wonder how many people currently protesting didn't bother to vote?

Turning left all these years hasn't gotten us anywhere so it's time we start turning right for a change.

I'd bet there's a huge disconnect between the number of protesters who voted vs the number of those attending the inaguration who did.

While there's truth to your point regarding the choices we were presented with in the election pulse, yet of the 2 I feel certain the better choice was made by the electorate thumbs

One further thought on the "road less traveled". Different doesn't mean better. If you don't like how well your hammer drives a nail you refine your hammer, not grab a banana and expect it to a better job because it's completely different. Roads less traveled are less traveled for a reason.

yeah, the White House press Secretariat ( not a spelling error) / head propagandist has always been a temporarily held occupation.
the MSM has always jumped them like a duck on a junebug for every attempt at disinformation. at least they do one thing right. smiling

O man, different indeed doesn't always mean better, yet the road less travelled in this case was a much better alternative than simply putting someone in office that would have continued with more of the same socialistic bullshit we'd been getting for the past 8 yrs already.

More "social justice", undermining of the Constitution and rule of law, more outrageous illogical LGBT bullshit, more illegal and unvetted legal immigrants being shoved down our throats, no matter what it cost us in security or tax dollars, more (and as yet improvable) claims of man made global warming, coupled with illogical legislation designed to further cripple our industries, adding layer upon layer of new taxes, regulations and fees on top of the shit we're already paying was what we had to look forward to with Hilary and all I can say is FUCK THAT SHIT!

Our election showed that middle America had finally had enough and stood up and said Fuck You Obozo and that stupid ass cunt that tried to follow you. All the liberals and fuckin snowflakes here, and the world over are whining and cryin like the big babies they are now because their expected shoe in got handed a defeat they never thought was coming. Wah, fuckin waaaah, get over it and yourselves, we won and you lost, plain and simple, because we had just flat out had had ENOUGH!!!

Personally, I don't give 2 shits how anyone living outside our borders thinks about how we run our country. You'll never find me trying to inject my thoughts into how other countries should run themselves, and never, NEVER will you hear me say who they should or should not elect as their leaders. But, that god damned sure never stops ya'll from claiming to know best how we should manage our country or who we should or shouldn't elect to run it, which I find pretty fucking annoying hot smiley the

Maybe not you personally, but your government sure as fuck does. And I guess that's the rub. The entire world is pissed at your road less travelled, because over the past 70 years you've made yourselves the defacto boss of the western world, forcing your views and interfering with / influencing every single global activity you deemed fit to do so, and ignoring the ones that you either didn't care about or were already working your way.

Trump is a fucking moron, seriously. A rich one, a successful one; but that doesn't mean you're not a moron. Who else spends their first day in office complaining about the news coverage of the amount of people attending the inauguration? It was as plain as day that there was around 1/3 the amount of people at Obama's re-election.

Anyway, it'll be interesting to see what happens, so long as he doesn't end up starting WW3 with China which he is clearly capable of doing.

I don't think he will try to control how other countries manage their own countries as long as it has no effect on us. He will work to get better trade deals for the US. He will also do whatever it takes to eliminate terrorism anywhere it shows up. There will be no WWIII because nobody wants a nuclear war, not even Putin.

As I've stated previously pulse, many of the folks here problee don't have a clue about all the shit the govt pulls domestically, much less internationally, yet most of them wouldn go along with what they do if they were aware of it. I myself don't agree with our international meddling, most especially since most of what I do know of it has usually blown up in our faces anyway.

Trump addressed that topic specifically during the campaign and pointedly in his inaugural address too, which was music to my ears. Unfortunately as covert as all that shit is I doubt even the President is ever aware of the full scope of what goes on.

You get to have whatever opinion you choose on Trump but much of what he campaigned for are common sense issues that conservatives find agreement with and it's not hard to see how your own liberal bent finds disagreement with those same ideas.

WWIII happenin under Trump, nah, unless it's a leveling of the playing field trade war. So much has been made of what he's said of his respect for Putin, but realistically wouldn it be better for us to have an improved relationship with the Rooskies than to head into another cold war as we were about on the brink of already under Obozo and Clinton, then Kerry?

I'm still in a wait and see mode to see how it all shakes out but at least I'm not lobbying for Texas' session like I would have been under Hilary star wars fighting

I guess it comes down to one phrase;

You reap what you sow.

I fundamentally disagree with my own government at the moment too; right now, the entire world is doing retarded things. Brexit is dumb. Trump is dumb. Australian politics are dumb. Germany letting in a million refugees is dumb. China reacting about Taiwan the way they have is dumb.

The entire fucking world is going spastic right now. Sure it's a case of "path less traveled"; but it is for everybody, and so far it looks dumb.

As far as Trump's message of making America great again; just keep in mind that it was the republicans who started the process of outsourcing and offshoring everything you did because it could be done cheaper by everybody else. And now there's no work for the Americans you're all crying about making yourselves great again.

It's too late.

It is for Australia too.
