clearly needs some forc3 over the rear axle to keep the wheels pressed to the ground...

I think my upside down kayak on top is like an airfoil that reduces weight in the rear but any fuel savings from that are canceled out by the increased drag it also produces. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. monty

Nearly 30yrs ago I was herdin around a 72 iteration of this style land yacht, a Pontiac Grand Safari Wagon, whatta behemoth, the fucker was as long as a whores dream! With the 1/2 ton or so of extra sheet metal, plastic, and glass in the ass I can't recall it ever seemin light in the rear. I do remember it not being able to pass a gas station, due to the 400 smallblock V-8 it took just to get the sucker motivatin.

I guess the evolution of lighter components must now require the extra down force (and mpg robbing) of such a wing ... isn't technology a wonderful thing Dancing Green Banana!

Hey Q man, just add yourself a Cecil Beanie prop to the bow of the ol kayak to break the airsteam and help it flow around it instead of draggin against it. 'Sides, all the greenies will flock around at every stop thinkin you've developed a car powered wind mill (matrix)
