I'm not a real big Pat Metheny fan but he is very talented. How was the show?

i'm not a huge fan either, but 50.00 7th row tickets for free at The house of
Blues will get me to go see anybody. the stand up bass player was really good,
but they are all 4 some really good musicians....and that's what made the show
for me.

Matheny is an incredible guitar player, but he reminds me a bit of Yngwie
Malmsteen.....not my taste or style. we were about 15 feet away though, and
could see every note (without a big screen), something i haven't done in 20
years. i highly recommend The House of Blues for a venue if there's one in your
area. it's tiny and probably only holds 500 people at the most. there was also 3
other clubs in the building with live music going (blues in 2 and country in the
other). do not go to drink though....$11 22 oz beers etc....
i can find a video of one of the guitars he was playing with a built in...harp?
but the sound was incredible.
